Thats me with one of Alexander Calder's mobile masterpieces at the Fondation Beyeler. Just in case you didnt know, Calder was the inventor of the mobile, and drew some amazing shapes out of two dimensional steel to form the most 3d of mobiles. Learn more about him right here, at the website of the Calder foundation.

Calder IS generally regarded as the inventor of the mobile, as an abstract kinetic art form. Dream Catchers are not really "art" and they certainly have no resemblance to a Calder mobile, which is composed of many different elements that are harmoniously balanced and perpetually changing and interacting with each other as invisible currents of air move them around. Calder invented this art form after first experimenting with motorized kinetic sculptures and becoming frustrated with the complexity and maintenance required to keep them running properly.
